Day of the Dead Festival

Stephanie, Dolores, Virginia, Ana and I had a great weekend at the Dia de los Muertos festival this past weekend.  It brought such a smile to my face when I saw so many of you stop by, it is wonderful to have so many friends.  I know that those of you that couldn't make it were with us in spirit. 
The only down side was that I thought I had forgotten my camera and it turns out it was in my bag the whole time, so I did not take as many photos as I had wanted to. 
I hope we continue to celebrate and support one another as we continue to spread our wings.

I hope you had fun today at our shit in a box workshop.  I was thinking about other projects I could do using the techniques I learned today.  I can't wait to collect more shit so that we could do this again.
I can't believe how much shit we all collect, I'm just glad we are putting it to  use.  I think we should do this workshop every six months.
Thanks Stephanie, for allowing us the use of your art studio once again.

papier mache workshop

We had a wonderful time at Stephanie's studio.  We received a workshop from Terry on papier-mache.  We are creating sculptures for our next exhibit, can't wait to see them done.
Also shared our sketchbook entries based on super heroes and summer vacations.

spirit animals

We had our latest meeting yesterday to celebrate the end of another school year.  We also shared our latest sketchbook entries, our spirit animals. 

In order of appearance: Claudia, Katie, Elisa, Virginia, Me, Wendi and Ana.

I had a wonderful time and it is always great to see everyone.
